1st section:
Reconstruction of a field track (Marktsteg) surfaced with a sand-slurry macadam course, which forms the connection to residential area 1 in the Elstertrebnitz district. The width is 2.50 m. A 10 cm thick asphalt base-and-surface course was provided as the surfacing. The construction length was approx. 83 m. On both sides the finish was made directly to the ground or to an area surfaced with crushed stone. The adjacent existing ground had to be adapted accordingly. The planned cycle path was designed not to be trafficable.
2nd section:
New construction of a cycle path parallel to the village road, which forms the connection to the Eulau district. The width is 2.50 m. Grey rectangular concrete block paving was provided as the surfacing. In the access area of a field track, red rectangular concrete block paving was laid for visual separation. The construction length was approx. 120 m. 3 street lamps located at the roadside had to be relocated outside the planned cycle path into the verge behind it.
Along the village road the road-side boundary of the cycle path was made with raised concrete kerbstones. The reveal is on average 10 cm. At the start and end of construction and in the area of the access, rounded concrete kerbstones (3 cm reveal) were to be used. Between the raised and rounded kerbs, corresponding transition kerbs (drop kerbs) were to be provided. The property-side finish was made with flush concrete kerbstones (0 cm reveal).
Since the adjoining arable area lies for the most part lower than the planned cycle path, an approx. 60 cm wide verge was to be provided behind the flush kerb for its better hold. Behind this there is an embankment surfaced with topsoil, which compensates for the height difference to the arable area. The embankment had to be adapted to the new conditions and was constructed with a gradient of at least 1:2.
